Project Background: The plant is an element of a programme for design of urban waste water treatment plants for towns with a population equivalent of over 10,000 under Operational Programme Environment and was designed for a population equivalent (PE) of 64 560 and Qav/day =10 877 m³/day. The project involves mechanical and biological treatment, de-nitrification, dephosphorization and disinfection of the raw wastewater with sludge stabilization and thickening to a state suitable for deposition.

The site was commissioned in 2015.
